Zdanavicius on March 13, 2005 at the Moletai Astronomical Observatory in Kulionys, Lithuania. 167960 Rudzikas is named after Zenonas Rokus Rudzikas, president of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, and a well-known theoretical physicist.
